Okay, so it’s still January and more cold weather is forecast. But after the dampness of last year and the chaos of the snow, it’s heartening to see signs of life in the muddy garden. Another few weeks and the daffodils will be out, there will be lambs in the fields – the perfect time for a weekend away in the West Country!
